Nothing beats a "classroom" with a view!

Our students, staff, and faculty spent the day touring the kitchens at Ace’s Run and FireWater to see exactly what it takes to run successful operations at Deep Creek.

So proud of this group and their passion for the craft!

Huge congratulations to Eric Rash for winning Best Use of Secret Ingredient!

It takes a serious amount of skill and creativity to take a mystery component and turn it into the star of the show. Your talent for balancing flavors and thinking outside the box truly set you apart.

We are all so proud of this well-deserved win! Great job, Eric!

A TASTE OF EXCELLENCE!**
The competition at **Chefs of Steel** was so close this year that our judges couldn't pick just one winner for the top honor! We are beyond proud to announce a tie for **Best Dish** of the event, both created by our incredibly talented students.

Huge congratulations to:

*Carson Luther** – For an absolutely stunning and vibrant salad dish that redefined fresh flavors.
*Trey Tharp** – For an exquisite and masterfully executed dessert that was the perfect sweet finish.
Seeing this level of creativity and technique from our current students is truly inspiring. The future of the culinary world is looking very bright!
Please join us in celebrating Carson and Trey for their outstanding achievement! 👏👏👏

🏆 **WE DID IT!** 🏆
The trophy is staying right here at home! We are incredibly thrilled to announce that our home team has officially been crowned the **Chefs of Steel** champions!
While we are soaking up the win, our hearts are also bursting with pride for our **alumni** who participated. Seeing the skills, passion, and professionalism you brought back to the kitchen reminds us why we do what we do. You continue to represent us so well out in the world, and having you back was the highlight of the event.

A Special Thank You
An event of this scale doesn't just "happen"—it takes a village. We want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who poured their hard work into this competition.
In particular, we want to give a huge shout-out to our "behind-the-scenes" heroes and leadership who went above and beyond:
* **Chef Fred Huber**
* **Jenna Burkett**
* **Kiara Hovatter**
* **Abbey Kerns**
* **Jacob Riis**
* **Tina Bell**
* **David Sanford **
We also want to recognize our incredible **IT and Marketing departments**. From keeping us connected to making sure our story reached the community, your expertise was essential to this success.
Your extra hours and dedication made this year’s Chefs of Steel one for the history books!
