Welcome to the official page of Andrew College! A private, residential, liberal arts college related to the United Methodist Church. Founded in 1854. Highway 82.

Located in Southwest Georgia, we offer 50+ disciplines within five programs. Founded in 1854, Andrew College is a private, nonprofit co-educational two year, liberal arts college related to The United Methodist Church. The College spans an area of 40 acres near downtown Cuthbert, Georgia, on U.S. The area serves as an approximate halfway point between Atlanta, Georgia, and Tallahassee, Florida, located in a rural region of Southwest Georgia. Andrew is home to three student residence halls, a full-service dining hall, tennis courts, an updated student center, and an on-campus library. The campus also houses an intramural soccer field, and an off-campus baseball field hosts the Men’s Baseball team. In addition to the outdoor athletic facilities offered, students also enjoy access to a newly remodeled Jinks Physical Education Complex with racquetball courts and a weight room. As a two-year, university-parallel college, Andrew exists to provide students with a strong beginning in their pursuit of higher education. As a United Methodist Church-related institution, the faculty and staff are dedicated to the spiritual and intellectual development of students. Andrew specializes in the education of freshmen and sophomores, and the College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate degrees. The College awards Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) degrees, and students can choose from 50+ disciplines within five programs. Honoring a Legacy. Preserving Our History.

On Friday, October 23, Andrew College proudly unveiled and dedicated the Dr. Karan Berryman Pittman Archive Room in Pitts Library!

Named in honor of beloved alumna, longtime librarian, and former Academic Dean Dr. Karan Berryman Pittman, this newly renovated space will serve as a home for treasured books, yearbooks, documents, and memorabilia that tell the story of Andrew College's rich history.

For 172 years, Andrew College has been shaped by the people who have walked its halls, and few have demonstrated a greater commitment to preserving that legacy than Dr. Pittman.

We are proud to honor her years of dedicated service with a space that will preserve our past and inspire generations of Andrew Fighting Tigers to come!

Big news for Andrew College!

Andrew College has been awarded a nearly $3 million federal Title III grant to strengthen student success, workforce readiness, and innovative technology initiatives.

This five-year investment will help Andrew continue creating new opportunities for students and preparing graduates for what’s next.

The Andrew College community mourns the passing of Mrs. Julia Williams, a beloved educator, colleague, and friend who dedicated more than 30 years of service to Andrew College.

Throughout her tenure, Mrs. Williams served Andrew in many capacities, including as Associate Professor of English, Interim Academic Dean, Student Success Center Coordinator, and tutor. Her commitment to education extended well beyond campus, as she traveled internationally through Fulbright programs to Malaysia, Singapore, China, and South Korea, as well as to England through an Andrew College Study Abroad program.

Above all, Mrs. Williams cared deeply for her students. She was actively involved in the lives of the students she served, always willing to offer encouragement, guidance, and support. That same spirit of service extended to her colleagues, as she could always be counted on to lend a helping hand to faculty and staff across campus.

Mrs. Williams gave generously of her time, knowledge, and heart to Andrew College. Her dedication to our students and her lasting contributions to our campus community will be remembered with gratitude.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside her. Her legacy will forever remain a part of the Andrew College family.

Andrew College President Dr. William R. Kennedy was honored as a 2026 Rural Leader Honoree during the inaugural Rural Leader Day, presented by Rural Leader Magazine in partnership with Randolph County Family Connection, Inc.

In addition to receiving this recognition, Dr. Kennedy was a featured speaker at the event, sharing his perspective on “How Colleges Can Prepare Tomorrow’s Rural Leaders.” His remarks highlighted the important role higher education plays in developing leaders who are prepared to serve, strengthen, and create opportunities within rural communities.

We are proud to see Dr. Kennedy’s leadership at Andrew College and his commitment to the future of Southwest Georgia recognized through this special honor.

Today, we pause to reflect and join our nation in remembering those who lost their lives 25 years ago on September 11, 2001, and in honoring the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of the first responders who answered the call.
