The University of North Georgia's (UNG) esports club team finished as the top group in the Peach Belt Conference's (PBC) Blue Division for the spring 2021 League of Legends season. It also reached the semifinals of the PBC tournament held March 24-27.

Fall 2020 University of North Georgia Sport Club Operating Procedures

UNG Sport Clubs understands that this is a unique and challenging time for all students. In accordance with the University of North Georgia's Fall 2020 Reopening Plan and out of concern for the health and safety of UNG students, Sport Club operations for Fall 2020 will be significantly modified.

Club Re-Registration
Club renewal is available on UNG Connect for the 2020-21 academic year. Each Sport Club must maintain its status as a Registered Student Organization by selecting their club under the "Groups" section of UNG Connect and completing the re-registration process.

Practices
Practices for Sport Clubs for Fall 2020 are suspended until October 1st. Clubs may not hold any official practices and may not reserve space for in-person physical activities. Future practice feasibility will be evaluated no later than October 1st. This guidance for club sports is consistent with Peach Belt Conference Return to Play Plan, which features October 1st as its earliest possible competition date.

Meetings
Clubs are encouraged to meet virtually during the fall semester. Any in-person meetings must follow Student Organization Guidelines and space must be reserved through UNG Connect. Attendance must be taken at any in-person meetings and uploaded in UNG Connect within 24 hours.

Travel and Competitions
All Sport Club travel and hosting of in-person competitions for Fall 2020 is suspended. Clubs who do not adhere to this guideline will be subject to significant disciplinary consequences.

Virtual Nighthawks Fest
The annual fall Nighthawks Fest will take place virtually from August 24-28. More information for signing up your club will be distributed when it is available.

Tabling and Fundraising
Sport Clubs must follow the guidelines set forth for all Student Organizations that govern tabling and fundraising. Please see page 3 of the Student Organization Guidelines for more information on Tabling. Fundraising activities will continue to be documented through UNG Sport Clubs via the Fundraiser Request Form.

Sport Club Leadership Workshop
The Sport Club Leadership Workshop will not be held in its traditional format for Fall 2020. However, a series of officer training workshops will be conducted virtually in August and September. Please continue to monitor your email for registration opportunities.

Recently traveled to Georgia State University where their Overwatch team competed. The club also hosted an awesome Smash tournament on campus that had a great turn out!
