NISTS Selects the National Resource Center as Our Successor Organization!

Since announcing our separation from UNG, we have diligently explored options for continuing this important work, and we couldn’t be more pleased that the NRC and University of South Carolina have enthusiastically embraced this opportunity.

For 23 years, NISTS and the NRC have engaged in a celebrated partnership that’s spanned publishing, presenting, and advocacy. This shared experience positions the NRC to preserve the treasured elements of the NISTS community while advancing the field of transfer and learning mobility.

Please encourage STEM transfer-intending community college students to participate in this research study. Interviews will be conducted virtually, so students across the US can participate.

The study is led by David Reeping - a past NISTS research grant recipient and the results will help universities improve their websites for STEM transfer students.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

How can university websites be better designed for STEM transfer students to have a smooth transfer? If you are a community college student aiming to earn a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, you may be able to participate in an online study!

We are looking for current community college students to participate in a 1-hour interview that involves evaluating university websites. The purpose of this research is to understand pain points in how university websites are designed and come up with next steps to improve their design for transfer students.

If you are interested in participating, please complete the screening survey here (~15 min to complete):

https://ucengeducation.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cVgdg1IcGuEeuKa

You will be paid $50 in the form of an Amazon gift card for completing the interview. There is no incentive associated with completing the screening survey.

If you have any questions, please let us know. The contact for this study is Dr. David Reeping ([email protected])
