At 96, Violet Edwards proves it’s never too late to chase your dreams. The South Florida resident recently earned her Associate’s Degree in liberal arts from Mercy College in New York, completing her studies online from her Parkland apartment. Raised in humble beginnings in Jamaica, Edwards put her education on hold for decades to support her family. However, she never let go of her goal—turning her lifelong dream into reality more than 70 years later. 🎓👏

He attended Storer College in the 1930s but left during senior year for financial reasons.

With family support, he received an honorary diploma in a special March 19 ceremony.
