Clinical Assistant Professor Jiayao Qi's research covers two sides of sport management: how people build their careers, and how technology like AI is reshaping the industry. He brings that research experience directly into every class he teaches at Simmons.

'If you want to be doing research in sport management, you're gonna keep your eye on the evolution of AI — because AI is gonna change a lot of things: the way we do research, the way we teach, the way people do different metrics on the court and on the field, and the way people calculate how much a contract is worth. A lot of things can be determined in a more efficient way with the help of AI"
