SMU Women in Science and Engineering

SMU Women in Science and Engineering Each month, 4th and 5th grade girls from DISD elementary schools come to SMU's campus for a Science Day.

WISE seeks to promote advanced learning of science and engineering in 4th and 5th grade girls and encourage young girls to pursue these fields in their education. Each event has a specific theme such as Biology, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Food Science, Environmental Science, and Marine Biology. SMU students gather every Thursday at 5:00 pm in the Women's Center to plan for these events, ment

or mixers, and professional development. The Women's Center is located on the 3rd Floor of Hughes-Trigg.
