The Southwestern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. will convene in Houston, Texas, October 1–3, 2026, for the 48th Annual C. Rodger Wilson Leadership Conference hosted by Houston (TX) Alumni, Beta Upsilon and surrounding chapters.

Brothers from across the Province will gather on the campus of Texas Southern University, for a weekend of leadership development, fellowship, and continued commitment to the ideals of Achievement.

We look forward to an outstanding conference and welcoming Brothers from throughout the Southwestern Province to Houston.

The Mighty Southwestern Province is launching our 2026 Province-Wide Voter Engagement Initiative, calling on every chapter to make an impact through nonpartisan civic engagement.

Our goal: 100% chapter participation!

Throughout the fall, chapters will work to:

REGISTER eligible voters
EDUCATE our communities
ENGAGE through outreach and partnerships
MOBILIZE eligible voters to develop a voting plan
REPORT our collective impact

Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Internship - Summer 2026

Bro. Cameron Cummings — HY — Spring 2024 served as a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) Intern in the office of Representative Robin Kelly (IL-02). During his internship, he supported legislative and administrative operations, assisted with constituent services, attended congressional briefings and policy events, and gained valuable experience in the legislative process.

Bro. Dominic Polidor — ГΛ— Spring 2025 served as a Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) Intern in the office of Representative LaMonica Mclver (NJ-10). Throughout the summer, he assisted with legislative research, constituent services, attended committee hearings and congressional briefings, and gained firsthand experience in the day-to-day operations of a congressional office while serving New Jersey’s 10th Congressional District.

Together, these brothers proudly represented the Mighty Southwestern Province on Capitol Hill through the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Internship Program, exemplifying leadership, achievement, and a steadfast commitment to public service while bringing honor to Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The Southwestern Province Leadership Retreat in Houston, Texas, was a powerful weekend of strategic planning, meaningful dialogue, and renewed commitment to the work ahead.

Together, we reflected on our progress, refocused our vision, and embraced the call to rise as stronger leaders in service to our Brotherhood and communities.

A special thank you to the Brothers of the Houston (TX) Alumni Chapter, Beta Upsilon Chapter, Omicron Xi Chapter, the University of Houston–Downtown (UHD), and everyone who helped make this retreat a tremendous success. Your hospitality, partnership, and dedication were deeply appreciated.

Mark your calendars for the C. Rodger Wilson Leadership Conference, to be held October 1–3, 2026, in Houston, Texas.

This conference serves as one of the premier leadership development opportunities within our Province and is designed to equip chapter leaders with the knowledge, resources, and training necessary for a successful fraternal year.

Brothers,

As we celebrate the Fourth of July, let us take time to reflect on the blessings of freedom, the sacrifices of those who have defended it, and the responsibility we share to strengthen our communities through service and leadership.

As members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, we are called to lead with purpose, uphold the highest ideals of achievement, and continue making a positive impact wherever we serve. May this Independence Day inspire us to renew our commitment to unity, excellence, and the principles that have guided our Fraternity for generations.

On behalf of the Southwestern Province, I wish you and your families a safe, joyful, and meaningful Fourth of July. May God continue to bless you, our communities, and the United States of America.

Greetings Brothers, �
The newest edition of The Informer is now live and features highlights, recognitions, and memorable moments from the 90th Southwestern Province Council Meeting. This special edition captures the fellowship, achievements, and business conducted during our historic gathering in Dallas.

Submission Deadline: October 24, 2026, at 11:59 PM
We encourage you to send stories early the deadline is simply the last date we’ll be able to accept them.

As we look ahead to our November edition, we will place a special spotlight on the veterans of the Mighty Southwestern Province. We invite chapters to submit information on brothers who are active duty military, veterans, retirees, or have distinguished records of service. We would like to recognize their accomplishments, military service, community impact, and continued contributions to our fraternity.

Additional submission details and deadlines will be shared in the coming weeks.

Greetings Brothers of the Mighty Southwestern Province,

On this Father’s Day, the Southwestern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. extends heartfelt appreciation to all fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and father figures whose love, guidance, and sacrifice continue to strengthen our families and communities.

Today is a time to celebrate the men who have helped shape our lives through their leadership, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to those they serve. It is also an opportunity to reflect on the lessons they have taught, the values they have instilled, and the legacy they continue to build through future generations.
