What a night! 🎶 Thank you to the choirs from Arlington Martin, Eaton, Carrollton Creekview, and Rowlett High Schools for joining our DBU Chorale on the Pilgrim Chapel stage. A special thanks to their directors, Jocelyn Epley, Joel Roberts, Kelly Pfaffenberger, and Rico Hamilton, and to every student who brought so much energy and heart to this concert. We’re also grateful to Dr. Joshua Brown, our Director of Choral Studies, for leading this event, and to Professor Leigh McClure for connecting everyone and making this collaboration happen. And to everyone who came out to support, thank you! This photo from our final song, with all the choirs singing together, says it all.

Professor Stacy Arnold plays his Faculty Guitar Recital on Tuesday, September 22 at 7:30 PM. The program crosses five centuries of the instrument: Milán and Narváez from the Renaissance, Sanz from the Spanish Baroque, Sor, the Villa-Lobos preludes, Albéniz, Gerardo Tamez, and Robert Guthrie’s Taos Suite.

Stacy directs the guitar program here at DBU and has performed across the country. If you’ve never heard a classical guitar up close in a small room, this is the way to do it.
