Yesterday DFW HBCU alumni, family, and friends from across the Metroplex gathered at the African American Museum of Dallas for Mandela: The Official Exhibition. 🇿🇦✨

It was a beautiful opportunity to connect across schools and generations while celebrating history, resilience, and culture.

Alabama A&M University welcomed 2,200 freshmen during the annual Torch Lighting ceremony Saturday. Students from 37 states and 8 countries started their journeys during the traditional passing of the torch to new Bulldogs. Women make up 59 percent of AAMU’s Class of 2030, while men account for 41 percent of the cohort. The class has an average grade point average of 3.25 and an average ACT of over 18.
