WestConn proudly hosted the 2026 High School Student Art Showcase opening reception and awards ceremony, celebrating the exceptional creativity and artistic achievements of high school students from across the region.

Presented in partnership with the Danbury Cultural Commission and Jerry’s of Norwalk, this juried exhibition features outstanding artwork by students in grades 9–12 and highlights the next generation of artists in a professional gallery setting. Top artists received special recognition and awards, including scholarships. Families, educators, students, and community members all gathered for an evening of connection and inspiration. 🎨✨

The exhibition is now on view through June 14, 2026.

Gallery Hours:
• Tuesday–Friday: noon–4 p.m.
• Saturday–Sunday: 1–4 p.m.

On May 15th, the Media Arts Film Festival held its 12th year, showcasing the best student works from the Media Production, Digital & Interactive Media and Art programs at WCSU.

The evening began with a reception, followed by a film screening and awards ceremony. The MAFF is very popular in bringing in students, family members, alumni, and the community.
