Coffee has a very strong influence on Swedish culture. Between having one of the highest consumption rates in the world (16.7-22 lbs per year) to dedicated coffee break time (fika), Sweden LOVES coffee! ☕️

What is your favorite way to drink coffee? Black and strong like the Swedes or with regular cream and sugar (2 creams and 2 sugars) like a Bay Stater? Let us know!👇

September 29th is National Swedish Fish Day!

Did you know that Swedish fish are actually Swedish?! Swedish Fish were first created in the 1950s by the Swedish confectionery company Malaco. Originally called "Pastellfiskar" (which translates to "Pastel Fish"), these candies were designed to cater to the Scandinavian market's love for fruity, chewy treats. Malaco introduced them to the American market in the 1960s, where they quickly gained popularity. The classic "red" flavor is based off of Sweden's favorite berry - the lingonberry! 🇸🇪🐟
