This past weekend, our Spiritual Life leaders met with Rev. Tobi Nguyen of Trinity United Methodist Church. It was a time full of ecumenical exploration and spiritual renewal! The sushi didn't hurt either. Thank you to Rev. Tobi and TUMC for letting us visit!

God of wisdom,
Draw near to all students, and all people taking tests and exams in this season of learning. May your wisdom guide them, may your peace and comfort sustain them, and regardless of the grades and results they receive, may you remind all of us that we are first and foremost a blessed part of your wonderful Creation.

Danville friends,

West Main Baptist and Averett University are collecting donations for victims of Hurricane Helene. Donations will be transported by Averett's Aeronautics Team THIS Saturday, along with several other Averett teams driving into impacted areas. The most crucial item needed is water, but other supplies requested include: toiletries, hygiene items, diapers, wipes, blankets, batteries and flashlights.

Donations can be brought to the West Main Baptist fellowship hall during office hours or during regular church programs, as well as to Averett's CCECC and Welcome Center.

Averett Aeronautics can transport up to 2,000 pounds of supplies so we don't anticipate exceeding this limit. However, if more is donated than Averett can transport, we'll disperse excess items to other groups assisting with disaster relief.
