Congratulations to all of our students who earned President's List and Dean's List distinction for spring 2026!

Averett University is proud to recognize students who earned academic honors for the Spring 2026 semester. This group includes both traditional on-campus students and those enrolled in Averett Online programs. In total, 378 students were honored for their outstanding academic achievements.

Incoming Averett students can attend either of our next two Summer Registration, Orientation and Readiness (ROAR) Days scheduled for June 26 and July 17. Itโ€™s a great opportunity to get acclimated, learn more about your upcoming college experience and meet professors, staff and fellow students. Averett recently honored four community leaders with Presidential Medals during its commencement ceremony on May 9.

The four individuals - local business figure Charles Majors; Danville City Councilman Sherman Saunders; Dr. Angela Hairston, the superintendent of Danville Public Schools; and Ken Larking, Danville City Manager - each have had an immeasurable impact on Averett.

Four Southside Virginia leaders whose service has shaped both Averett University and the surrounding community were honored with the universityโ€™s highest distinction Saturday, as Presidentโ€™s Medals were awarded during commencement exercises on May 9.

Averett University celebrated its graduates during its 2026 spring commencement exercises held Saturday morning, May 9 in the Grant Center on the universityโ€™s E. Stuart James Grant North Campus. In all, 245 students participated in commencement exercises.
