Last night, the first cohort of Industrial Maintenance Electrical & Instrumentation graduated!!

These seven technicians, with NCCER IMEI Certifications, have the skill set to install, calibrate, and maintain the complex control systems, motors, and sensors that sustain manufacturing and power plants to operate efficiently.

These students received scholarships from the SVHEF, easing the financial challenges for meaningful progress to achieve their educational goals.

IMEI is one of many great programs offered at the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center in partnership with Danville Community College.

Yesterday, we welcomed another group of future Knights to campus for DCC ROCKS (Orientation)! 🎉

A huge thank you to our Student Services, Financial Aid, and TRIO teams for creating a welcoming and engaging experience for our newest students.

From connecting students with important resources to answering questions and providing guidance, these dedicated teams helped ensure our students feel prepared, supported, and excited for the journey ahead.

At DCC, student success starts before the first day of class, and DCC ROCKS helps students build connections, discover campus resources, and begin their college experience with confidence.

Looking to strengthen workplace safety skills or earn industry recognized certifications?

Danville Community College in partnership with Fire Safe Safety Services, is offering three summer training opportunities designed to help individuals and employers stay safe, compliant, and prepared:

- Hazard Communication – July 31
- Confined Space Awareness/Entry Training – August 7
- CPR/AED/Basic First Aid – August 14

National Selfie Day may have fallen on the weekend, but we kept the celebration going today!
