Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship is the only school in the nation with entrepreneurship in its name. Our faculty is committed to delivering an up-to-date curriculum that fosters the spirit of innovative thinking in the workplace. We offer a variety of business degree programs including accounting, finance, marketing, human resource management, public administration and more.

Our main campus is located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida but our programs are also available at multiple locations and online. The Hudson Center of Entrepreneurship and Executive Education at the Huizenga Business School provides practical business education and hands-on learning to organizations and individuals by offering non-degree courses and professional exam preparation classes as well as certification in Lean Six Sigma.

🌟 Student Spotlight: Michelle Roxana Tumbaco Teran 🌟

We are proud to celebrate Michelle Roxana Tumbaco Teran, an NSU Business Finance major and Honors-in-Major student, for presenting her research at the 2026 Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) on March 6–7, 2026.

Michelle’s project, “Employment Trends in Florida’s Small Firms: The Role of Foreign-Born Workforce,” was exceptionally well received at one of the largest multidisciplinary undergraduate research conferences in the nation.

This year, nearly 20 NSU undergraduate students were accepted to present at FURC—and Michelle stood out as the sole representative from the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business & Entrepreneurship.

Her dedication, analytical insight, and commitment to academic excellence are a true reflection of the high caliber of students within our business programs.

A special thank you to her faculty mentor, Dr. Darshana Palkar, who shared how proud they are of Michelle’s achievement—and how her success serves as an inspiration for other NSU Business students interested in research opportunities.
