π Student Spotlight: Michelle Roxana Tumbaco Teran π
We are proud to celebrate Michelle Roxana Tumbaco Teran, an NSU Business Finance major and Honors-in-Major student, for presenting her research at the 2026 Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) on March 6β7, 2026.
Michelleβs project, βEmployment Trends in Floridaβs Small Firms: The Role of Foreign-Born Workforce,β was exceptionally well received at one of the largest multidisciplinary undergraduate research conferences in the nation.
This year, nearly 20 NSU undergraduate students were accepted to present at FURCβand Michelle stood out as the sole representative from the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business & Entrepreneurship.
Her dedication, analytical insight, and commitment to academic excellence are a true reflection of the high caliber of students within our business programs.
A special thank you to her faculty mentor, Dr. Darshana Palkar, who shared how proud they are of Michelleβs achievementβand how her success serves as an inspiration for other NSU Business students interested in research opportunities.
π Congratulations, Michelle! Your work continues to elevate NSU Business and the NSU community.
