Hey everyone! We are so excited to announce our first event of the year! Do you have questions about the program? Are you interested in getting to know the mentors a little better and make some new friends? If so, join us this Friday, August 21st, at 9:00 PM to get your questions answered and to start being part of a community.

Meeting people online can be hard, especially when you are in a new environment. During this event, you will have the opportunity to know your mentor and peers better and to make some new friends. This is the perfect event to start getting involved in the UC Davis and GAMP community! We will all get together via Zoom and participate in activities such as speed friending, student panel, and more. We are ready to get to know you and each other!

The Global Ambassador Mentorship Program (GAMP) is currently accepting mentee applications! As an international student, we understand it may be challenging to build connections and make friends due to the limitations imposed by the pandemic, but we would like to offer you the opportunity to join our program as a mentee no matter where you are! At GAMP, we aim to create a space for our mentees to be successful on campus.

Once you apply, you will be matched with a student mentor who shares personality traits and interests with you. Your mentor will serve as a guide, but more importantly, a friend who can provide insight on life at UC Davis by sharing tips and tricks to help you adjust to various aspects of college life!

Being part of the Global Ambassador Program gives students the chance to be involved with the international campus community, work on new initiatives, and gain professional development and leadership skills, as well as use their existing skills (such as creativity and foreign language skills) to help further the program. We are looking for students with international experience either abroad or in the U.S., basic understanding of a language other than English and willingness to use it, and potential for leadership in thought and action. There are no citizenship or permanent residency requirements.
