Heart Health Is a Community Effort ❤️🖤

February is Heart Health Awareness Month and Black History Month a time to honor our legacy and protect our future.

In our community, heart disease and chronic health conditions often go undiagnosed or ignored until they become emergencies. That’s why paying attention to your body matters. Being in tune with yourself, noticing changes, and advocating for your health can be life-saving — because you are often your first diagnosis.

Through education, outreach, movement, and connection, we work to support heart health, mental wellness, physical activity, and access to resources that help our neighbors thrive.

When communities move together, heal together, and support one another — hearts get stronger, lives last longer, and legacies continue.

🌈 The Color Monster Program – Back for Another Year! 🌈

Every year during Su***de Prevention Week on World Su***de Prevention Day, our Color Monster Program helps children understand and express their emotions in a safe, supportive way.

Through reading the beloved Color Monster book, children learn to identify their feelings, talk about them, and understand that it’s okay to feel all kinds of emotions. 💛💚💙💜❤️

Here’s a peek into our past sessions with Miss Ashley, Director at the Dayton Metro Library on Abbey Road. We’re excited to return to the same location this year and continue supporting children in learning healthy emotional skills!
