Wishing U.S. District Court Judge Walter H. Rice well in his retirement! We're thankful for all he has done and is still doing to help our law students. Check out this great story in the Dayton Daily News about the many ways he's helped the community, including the law school, during his long career:

When Sterling Titus was sentenced to federal prison in 1982 by U.S. District Court Judge Walter H. Rice, he privately thought, “I hope I never see you again.”

Great to have both our Residential and Online Hybrid J.D. students at Keller Hall for a combined day of orientation! New students were able to meet their classmates, hear from Dean Christopher Roederer, learn about our many student orgs, listen to federal judges talk about civility and take the Oath of Professionalism, marking their entrance into the legal profession.

This wrapped up orientation for our Online Hybrid students, who started over the weekend, and it was the first day of orientation for our Residential students, who will continue until later this week. We’re excited to have everyone here as we help them prepare for the start of classes next week.
