In addition to traditional classroom learning, Bryan's engineering students receive abundant hands-on experience by completing various projects throughout their four years, including designing, building, and testing balsa wood bridges, trebuchets, and rope-climbing robots.

On April 30, we had a great time celebrating our seniors at our annual banquet and Order of the Engineer induction ceremony.

During the ceremony, each inductee is presented with a ring to wear on the fifth finger of their working hand. The ring is meant to be a visible symbol identifying them as an engineer who has accepted the Obligation of an Engineer to practice integrity and serve humanity by being a wise steward of Earth's resources.

We enjoyed celebrating these graduates' accomplishments and look forward to seeing them thrive in their professions.

Last night, our seniors showcased their capstone design projects to an audience of students, faculty, family, and professionals from the Chattanooga Engineers Club.

From a human-powered vehicle (Jacob, Jess, Rachel, Nathan, Brian) to a solar-powered water heater (Jonathan, Karsen, Zane) and a micro hydro power plant (Haley, Weston, Nazar, Logan, Alex), each team demonstrated months of hard work, creativity, and engineering excellence.

We couldn't be more proud of them!

Yesterday, our freshmen tested the rope-climbing capability of the robots they’ve spent the semester designing and building.

Each team had the challenge of creating a small robot that would climb a rope in under two minutes while carrying .5 kilogram of weight. Team Ascent’s robot took first, completing the climb in less than 40 seconds.

It was fun seeing each team’s creativity in their design. Great work, students!

We had a great time serving together yesterday during All Campus Service Day!

Each year, Bryan's campus shuts down for a day so students and staff can show the love of Christ to our community. This year, a group of engineering students helped out around DAO Ministries.

Thankful for this opportunity to live out our faith through service!
