I'm sad to report that we've lost another MoPix alum. JT Anderson (J. Todd, to some) died of cancer in California, with his sister by his side. Best known as the Coen Brothers' longtime storyboard artist, he also appeared in several films, including as the Victim in Fargo (a role that put him on the poster) and as the Comic Store Clerk in Paul. A diverse storyteller, he directed two features, published a book of his storyboards for The Big Lebowski, co-hosted Filmically Perfect (listen below), and wrote the words and music for the pop musical Nativity. He also generously shared his stories and knowledge with emerging filmmakers whenever they asked.
Rest well, JT. We'll raise a glass to you tonight.
