The Statehouse Civic Scholars Program is one of the many real world skill building experiential learning opportunities the Political Science Department supports. This successful workforce development program is supported by the State of Ohio, AES Foundation and alumni.

Dayton2DC extends experiential learning beyond campus and into Washington, D.C.

Through this immersive experience, our students connect with UD alumni working on Capitol Hill, in executive agencies, lobbying firms, think tanks, and other public service careers. Dayton2DC offers valuable networking opportunities and practical insight into navigating professional pathways in D.C.

The accompanying minicourse prepares students by helping them clarify academic and career goals before departure and reflect on their experience after returning. ✈️
