Sinclair was proud to participate in the 2026 National Advanced Air Mobility Industry Forum, hosted by the National Advanced Air Mobility Center of Excellence at Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport. The event brought together leaders from across the advanced air mobility industry for exhibits and flight demonstrations. Sinclair showcased the Pivotal BlackFly, our innovative all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, as well as our BETA Technologies Mobile Dome 2.0 flight simulator, located at Springfield-Beckley Airport. We are also excited to share that Sinclair has purchased a BETA ALIA CTOL electric aircraft, with delivery expected in early 2027.

Sinclair’s own Dr. Andrew Shepherd, Chief Research Officer at our National UAS Training & Certification Center, moderated a panel discussion on "Growing Capabilities." The conversation focused on the evolving needs in manufacturing, maintenance, energy, workforce, and risk management as advanced air mobility continues to grow. Panelists included Justin Levy (Founder, Defend AM), Rob Beeler (Director of Economic Development, AES), Dr. Phil Klein (VP, Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics), and Chris Proudlove (SVP, Great American Insurance Company). The CEO of Electra. aero, Marc Allen, delivered the forum's keynote address.

Sinclair just landed in the top 10% of colleges nationwide for affordability, according to the U.S. Department of Education.
This ranking shows our commitment to keeping college within reach for every student. With an average net cost of $5,821, less than half the national average, our students can earn valuable credentials and degrees that lead to great careers without heavy debt.

On October 2, Sinclair College inspired the next generation of innovators at Manufacturing Day. Nearly 600 middle and high school students took part in hands-on activities that sparked interest in exciting, rewarding careers in manufacturing. The students participated in hands-on demonstrations, including welding, CNC machining, industrial robotics, unmanned aerial systems, and biotechnology. Our dedicated STEM faculty were proud to guide students through these interactive experiences.

Sinclair College celebrated the grand opening of our new, state-of-the-art Fire Science Academy training facility. This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to the Dayton community and to offering high-quality education and resources for the region.

As Ohio’s largest and only Pro Board-accredited college-based fire academy, Sinclair provides an affordable, accelerated pathway into the fire service. The new facility represents a major investment in hands-on, experiential learning, designed to equip the next generation of professional firefighters with the critical skills and confidence needed for today’s demanding careers.

Big News for our student-parents community! Sinclair College has been awarded a $3.2 million federal CCAMPIS grant, making us the only institution in Ohio to receive this distinction. Out of nearly 300 applicants nationwide.

Currently, 26% of Sinclair students are parents, and access to affordable childcare is a critical barrier to degree completion. This grant enables Sinclair to provide over $1.8 million in direct childcare subsidies, expanding support and increasing retention for student-parents.

This investment will help remove barriers for student-parents, allowing them access to high-quality, affordable childcare, helping them stay enrolled, complete their degrees, and create brighter futures for their families

Sinclair’s Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) programs are ready to meet our region's workforce needs. Equipping instructors, law enforcement, firefighters, and private-sector professionals with the latest drone skills to help them succeed in their fields.

Sinclair Community College is expanding its UAS training programs by teaching drone flight and instruction techniques to staff and area first responders, meeting growing local demand for drone operation skills and workforce development in Dayton and surrounding communities.

You are invited to the Sinclair Fire Academy’s New Fire Academy Training Building Open House!. If you are considering a career in the fire service, this is an excellent opportunity to learn more about our nationally recognized program.

Sinclair’s Fire Academy is proud to graduate over 100 students each year, making us the largest fire academy in Ohio. We are also the only college-based academy in the state to hold Pro Board accreditation. Our Professional Firefighter Short-Term Certificate can be completed in one semester and requires only 12 credit hours.

At the open house, attendees can participate in hands-on activities and explore what it means to serve as a firefighter. Our faculty and current students will be available to answer questions and share their experiences.

Sinclair College has received a grant from the GE Aerospace Foundation as part of Lifting Futures, its flagship workforce training program to support the entire aerospace industry.
This investment will support Sinclair's ongoing workforce development efforts in manufacturing and welding.
We are grateful to be part of Lifting Futures - a program working to train 10,000 skilled manufacturing workers by 2030 and close the aerospace industry's skills gap.
