Congratulations to Wright State University alumnus kyle_recker_ who has won a position as a full time musician in the United States Army!

Recker is excited for this opportunity a it has been a dream of hid to be able to perform in a military band for many years. He leaves for basic training in early January and is looking forward to beginning his new career!

Congratulations to Professor Ginger Thomas Minneman on being the 2026 recipient of the Wright State University College of Liberal Arts “Outstanding NTE Instructor”.

Currently Minneman is the area head of the voice, teaches vocal lessons, and serves as chair of Music
in the School of Fine and Performing Arts.

Such a well-deserved recognition. Bravo, Professor Minneman!

We are so proud of WSU clarinet Professor and all his colleagues in the Dayton Philharmonic for standing up for fair wages and having the orchestra that our regions needs to have. They have worked throughout the summer to bring awareness and support to this important issue.

Kurokawa serves as principal clarinet in the DPO. And we stand behind him and the other musicians 100%!
