Starting life at the University of Dayton is exciting and overwhelming, both for new students and for their families. That's why we developed a series of programs to help incoming students make the most of their college experience and facilitate a successful transition into the academic, social, and spiritual life of the UD community. Beginning with the pre-orientation leadership camp and New Stud

ent Orientation, students are challenged and encouraged to take their first steps toward deep and meaningful academic and social engagement. These programs involve a rich combination of experiences that include meeting and working with faculty, staff and student leaders, service to the community, an introduction to academic coursework and co-curricular involvement and leadership. Throughout the academic year, conversations of importance to first-year students are fostered through presentations on topics ranging from establishing healthy relationships to developing study skills.
