The State Bar of Michigan Board of Commissioners has elected Aaron V. Burrell to serve as Board secretary for the 2026-27 Bar year. Burrell will be officially sworn into his new role at the Presidential Inauguration & Awards Luncheon on September 18, 2026. Rula Aoun was recently appointed to the Wayne County Circuit Court! Gov. Whitmer announced the appointment of Dearborn Magistrate Rula Aoun to the Wayne County Circuit Court, further expanding Arab American representation on the bench of Michigan’s largest trial court. Natalie Spala has joined Chicago's NBC 5 as the weekend sports anchor/reporter beginning on August 31st. She will also contribute to the channel's weekly sports highlights and features program, Sports Sunday.
