Today’s Millikin Made story is such a sweet reminder that Millikin connections do not end at graduation.

Chris and Dee have carried their Millikin ties forward with kindness, pride, and a true heart for this place. After spending time with them, it is easy to see how much Millikin has meant to their story, and how much they continue to mean to the Millikin community.

We are grateful for alumni and friends who stay connected, show up, and help keep the Big Blue spirit strong for the next generation.

Millikin Made: Jay Carman ’82

From a leader on the court to a leader in his industry, Jay Carman ’82 continues to show what it means to be Millikin Made.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Jay at Stay-Fast Packaging Technologies, the company he owns with his brothers, and see firsthand the growth, innovation, and pride behind their work. It was clear that the same drive, teamwork, and leadership Jay brought to Millikin athletics have carried into building a successful family-owned company.

We’re proud to share Jay’s story and celebrate the many ways Millikin alumni continue to lead, serve, and make an impact.

Millikin University has received a transformational $3.3 million estate gift from the trust of Helen Cox Kersting ’56 to establish the Helen Cox Kersting and Dr. Hans-Joachim Kersting Scholarship Fund. The gift, the largest scholarship commitment in the history of the College of Fine Arts, will create new opportunities for School of Music students for years to come.
