It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Triumphant Soror, Loretta McCroskey, who transitioned on October 6, 2026.

Soror Loretta was a Life Member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, and a devoted member of Iota Eta Zeta for more than 35 years. Her commitment to our sisterhood and our community was unwavering. During a season of rebuilding for our chapter, Soror Loretta worked tirelessly to keep our sisterhood strong, preserve our community presence, and ensure that the legacy of Iota Eta Zeta would continue.

The chapter we know and love today stands on the foundation laid by dedicated sisters like Soror Loretta. Her service and sacrifice have left an indelible mark on our sisterhood, and we are forever grateful for the role she played in shaping our chapter’s legacy.

Though she will be deeply missed, her impact will live on in the work we continue and the sisterhood she helped sustain.

We ask that you join us in keeping Soror McCroskey’s family, loved ones, and all who cherished her lifted in prayer during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the love that surrounds them and peace in the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

The Decatur Zetas wore pink today to stand in solidarity with breast cancer survivors, fighters, and the families who walk alongside them. 💕

Behind every statistic is a life, a family, and a story worth fighting for. While we’ve made strides in breast cancer awareness and treatment, awareness alone isn’t enough.

Black and brown communities continue to face disparities in healthcare, early detection, and research that can make this fight even more challenging. We’re raising our voices for equitable access to screenings, quality care, and research that represents everyone.

Because every life matters, every voice deserves to be heard, and everyone deserves a fighting chance. Together, let’s turn awareness into action! 💗

"With the safety of our participants, volunteers, and community as our priority, Making Strides of Atlanta on Saturday, October 10, has been canceled due to incoming weather from Hurricane Isaias.
We know how much this day means to so many of you, and we share your disappointment. Thank you for the time, heart, and energy you’ve poured into this campaign. 💗

The Decatur Zetas put on our shades of blue to take a stand against bullying and spread a powerful message: kindness always wins. 💙

Everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, valued and included. We all have a role to play in creating a community where cruelty has no place.

Choose kindness.
Speak up.
Stand together.

Iota Eta Zeta was out in the community at National Night Out, connecting with our neighbors and helping make sure they’re ready for the upcoming midterm elections!

We enjoyed an evening of community, connection and civic engagement as we shared voter education materials and handed out treats to the kiddos.

Special shout out to Bro. Cox from the Phi Beta Sigma Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc, who went above and beyond to get our message out!

We’re keeping the momentum going all the way to the polls!
