Clark Atlanta University is using homecoming week to celebrate its past while offering a glimpse of its future.

During his annual State of the University Address, President George T. French Jr. highlighted campus investments, including a new $16 million Student Success Center and renovations to historic Gaines Hall.

“Homecoming brings our generations together,” French said. “We’re making history where we stand.”

The Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University's Georgia Baptist Association of Nursing Students (GBANS) earned eight awards during a recent convention. Thirty-three Mercer students, two faculty members and the College's admissions team attended the Georgia Association of Nursing Students event.

The Mercer student chapter won West District Chapter of the Year, Newsletter of the Year, Community Health and Service Award, and Media and Online Presence of the Year. In addition, Insha Dodhia received the Centurion Humanitarian Award; Kristy Park, Ambassador Award; Mikaila Handberry, Novant Health Image of Nursing Award; and Nicholas Petroni, Karl Lipinski Male Leadership Scholarship.

It’s official: Agnes Scott’s first physician assistant class is here! 🩺💜

Today, 30 students began the Mary Lou Cornwall Hawkes ’65 and James B. Hawkes Physician Assistant Program in the newly renovated Hopkins Hall. When we announced this program, it was a plan. Today it’s a classroom full of future PAs ready to help meet Georgia’s growing need for healthcare providers.

A surprise on stage at the 7th Annual Women’s Global Leadership Conference: the Delta Air Lines Foundation has committed $1 million to Global Journeys, the program that sends every Agnes Scott first-year student on a faculty-led trip at no additional cost.

That brings the Foundation’s investment in Summit to $2 million.

The Ingenico Fintech Hub officially opened on Sept. 28 in the Michael J. Coles College of Business, representing the latest milestone in Kennesaw State’s efforts to expand financial technology education and industry collaboration. The ARCHE Interlibrary loan program connects our member libraries for timely delivery of books and materials. Students, faculty, and staff may place requests at their home library for items held by other ARCHE libraries. Requested items are given priority treatment and delivered on the ARCHE van or electronically when possible.
Jordan from UGA Transportation & Parking Services delivers over 10,000 physical items throughout the year on the ARCHE van. Thank you, Jordan, for navigating this Atlanta traffic 3 days a week for us!
