On behalf of the Tenacious 13th District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., we proudly stand with our Nigerian Brothers, their families, and the people of Nigeria in celebrating Independence Day.

On October 1, 1960, Nigeria gained its independence from the United Kingdom, marking a defining moment in the nation’s history and beginning a new chapter of self-determination.

Today, we celebrate not only Nigeria’s independence, but also the rich culture, strength, resilience, and spirit of its people. To our Brothers who proudly call Nigeria home, know that your heritage is celebrated and your contributions to our Brotherhood are deeply valued.

May the Green and White continue to fly proudly, and may the bonds of Brotherhood that connect us across nations grow even stronger.

Montego Bay, Jamaica 🇯🇲 | Omicron Xi Nu - OΞN

When Category Five Hurricane Melissa swept across Jamaica’s western region, it left a trail of destruction that tested the spirit of the Jamaican people. However, true to the Cardinal Principle of Perseverance, the “Reggae Quez” of Omicron Xi Nu Chapter rose to the occasion, proving once again that the sun never sets on the mission of Omega.

The Reggae Quez executed high-impact Social Action initiatives focused on immediate relief and long-term recovery. This was not a mere series of donations but a strategic Uplift campaign that reached deep into the social fabric of parishes like St. Elizabeth and the community of Lacovia.

The quantifiable impact of this mission is a testament to the chapter’s leadership. Collectively, the Brothers raised a grand total of $1,481,542.40 JMD (approximately $9,103.39 USD) to facilitate critical repairs and provide essential supplies. These funds directly supported projects such as the roof repair of the Melody House, which was severely damaged during the storm.

By impacting 248+ lives through direct action, the Reggae Quez of Omicron Xi Nu Chapter has set an international benchmark for how the 13th District executes strategic community uplift in times of crisis.

In the Northern Dominican Republic province of Puerto Plata, near the coastal town of Cabarete, the Brothers of Tri Nu continues their annual humanitarian service by addressing critical food insecurity among an underserved Haitian immigrant community.

The Haitian community of La Ciénaga is home to families who face persistent economic hardship and limited access to educational and financial resources not afforded to them under Dominican government programs available to citizens. Recognizing this ongoing need, the brothers of Tri Nu mobilized their annual service initiative to provide direct assistance to those most impacted.

Tri Nu brothers personally collected and distributed 100 bags of food to families throughout La Ciénaga. The effort focused on meeting immediate nutritional needs while reinforcing the fraternity’s commitment to hands-on service and human dignity. Brothers worked directly within the community, ensuring food reached households most in need.

This annual outreach has become a meaningful tradition for Tri Nu, reflecting the organization’s broader mission of service, equity, and global engagement. By returning year after year, the brothers aim to build trust, foster relationships, and deliver tangible support to communities often overlooked by traditional aid structures.

Tri Nu’s work in La Ciénaga underscores the importance of sustained humanitarian efforts and community-centered service. As economic challenges continue to affect vulnerable populations throughout the region, the fraternity remains committed to leveraging its collective resources to provide relief and uplift families beyond borders.

🔦 “The Deutschland Ques” 🔦

More than 200 military children sharpened their football skills and enjoyed a day of pro-level football at the 2026 NFL Pro Camp held at Ramstein, thanks in large part to dedicated volunteers from the Brothers of Phi Gamma Gamma.

Devin Lloyd of the Jacksonville Jaguars served as the camp’s featured athlete, leading drills, offering technique tips, and inspiring young participants with pro-level insight and encouragement. The camp was organized and led by Brother Anthony Polk, who coordinated volunteer efforts and event logistics in partnership with the Defense Commissary Agency and Procter & Gamble.

With strong community support and continued volunteer engagement, the NFL Pro Camp in Germany remains a valued annual tradition, delivering professional coaching and unforgettable memories to military youth across Europe.
