There's nothing quite like a Luther welcome!🫂

Alumni like Kim Christianson '94 volunteer to host international students when they first land in the U.S., opening their homes before move-in day. For students traveling far from family, it sets the tone for their entire Luther experience. Kim has hosted nine students, and some now call her their American mom.

On May 23, we celebrated our nursing graduates at their Pinning Ceremony, a meaningful tradition marking their official transition into the nursing profession. As they join a proud legacy of Norse nurses, they take with them the compassion, determination, and commitment to care that will make a difference wherever they go.

Luther College proudly celebrates Pride Month and Decorah's LGBTQIA+ community!🏳️‍🌈

You can join us in continuing the celebrations at Luther and in Decorah during Decorah's 2026 Pride Festival, happening October 6-10. The festival will include a Pride parade, an afternoon celebration in the park, and a dance.

Back in February, Luther received the 2026 Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization, one of only five U.S. institutions honored this year and the first private college in Iowa ever to receive it.
