The mission of the College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) is to promote health and well-being through scholarship that integrates teaching, research, and service. HHS is comprised of three schools:

School of Allied Health and Communicative Disorders with studies in Audiology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation Services and Counse

School of Family, Consumer and Nutrition Sciences with studies in Early Childhood Studies, Eating Disorders and Obesity, Family and Child Studies, Nutrition and Dietetics, Hospitality Management, Textiles-Apparel and Merchandising, and Educator Licensure in Family and Consumer Sciences. http://www.nuhs.niu.edu

We offer more learning opportunities with a General Studies in Health and Human Sciences, Gerontology, Homeland Security, and Military Science (ROTC). Our Community Services include the Chandelier Dining Room, Child Development Lab, Ellingon’s restaurant, the Couple and Family Therapy Clinic at NIU, Physical Therapy Clinic, and the Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic.
