La Casa is proud to celebrate Pride Month and honor all members of the LGBTQIA+ Latine community who have fought (and continue to fight) for space, voice, visibility, dignity, and existence.

Pride is rooted in lucha: the ongoing struggle against systems that seek to erase, silence, or marginalize our communities. It is also rooted in joy, resilience, love, and the power of collective belonging. We recognize the generations of LGBTQIA+ Latine activists, artists, educators, organizers, and community members whose courage has expanded what is possible for all of us. ♥️🧡💛💚💙💜

A community oral history project by our co-director Dr. Joshua Deckman at Stetson University is seeking Latina and Caribbean women in the DeLand/Volusia area interested in sharing stories about family, migration, culture, work, and community life in Central Florida.

La Casa Cultural Latina closed out the term celebrating one of our largest cohorts yet! This semester brought immersive experiences, a Stetson student assistant, new textbooks, and so much fun along the way.
