Austin College PA Program Austin College is planning a 24-month masters-level Physician Assistant program to start in June 2024 pending ARC-PA accreditation.

The mission of the Physician Assistant (PA) program is to engage committed, diverse learners in a student-centered, transformational curriculum that fosters personal growth, builds community, and produces PAs capable of providing high-quality, patient-centered healthcare that reflects the principles of medical humanities and service to others. The ARC-PA has granted Accreditation-Provisional status to the Austin College Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Austin College. Accreditation-Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program’s ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding Accreditation-Provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first class (cohort) of students. The Austin College PA program is approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Our PA students are exploring how everyday choices impact health and well-being, while developing practical strategies to help future patients thrive. From nutrition and exercise to stress management and behavior change, they're learning that some of the most powerful medicines start with healthy habits.
