Ideas move universities forward—and people make those ideas possible.

In this message, Dr. Albert Bimper, Executive Dean of the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences at UNT, shares how CLASS is powering UNT’s R1 research mission through collaboration, creativity, and bold inquiry—and why your partnership matters now more than ever.

As we head into 2026, join the inaugural Dean’s Momentum Circle and help invest in the ideas, students, and research that strengthen our communities and shape the future of public higher education.

We need partners.
We need visionaries.
We need you.

💚✨Season’s Greetings from the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences!

As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with pride and gratitude for the passion, creativity, and resilience that define our community. Our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters continue to inspire us with the ways they learn, lead, and make a difference both on campus and beyond.

To celebrate the season—and to share a little joy—we’ve brought together all of our department chairs for a special surprise. Please enjoy this fun and festive rendition of “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” Their enthusiasm captures the spirit of CLASS: collaborative, spirited, and always ready to lift one another up.

From all of us at CLASS, we wish you a warm and wonderful holiday season filled with peace, laughter, and connection. Here’s to a bright year ahead, and to all the possibilities it holds.

Happy Holidays and !🤍🦅

Dr. Matthew Eshbaugh-Soha, Professor in the Department of Political Science, spoke with NBC 5’s Phil Prazan this past Monday regarding Super Tuesday and local/state election statistics. Nearly 2 million Texans have already voted, trending older and more Republican. Like almost every election, young people are not showing up in the exact amounts.

We 💚 our Student Ambassadors 🥰

"I was chosen as a Student Ambassador because of my service-oriented attitude and positivity, which is why I was so honored to represent my college by speaking on the panel at UNT’s Spring Preview and make hundreds of prospective parents and students feel welcomed on campus. 💚✨ As the face of my college, my #1 goal is to be a good role model of someone who’s driven, supportive, and involved:

“Tell me and I forget. Show me and I may remember. Involve me and I learn.” 📝

Go Mean Green!!!"
