The UNT Student Government Association, the Department of Political Science, and the Office of Pre-Law Advising are hosting an Election Night watch party on Tuesday. Come hang out, have some free pizza, cake, and snacks, play election trivia, pin the tail on the donkey/elephant, color in your very own Electoral College map, and predict the election outcome. There will be lots of SWAG and prizes, and maybe even a visit from a very special eagle! Maybe most important, get to know your fellow students. It pays off. Ever heard the phrase "it's not what you know but who you know"?

House of Renewed Hope

Come out to help us and House of Renewed Hope honor those who have been wrongfully convicted, who have helped set them free on International Wrongful Conviction Day on October 2nd. You will hear from judges, attorneys, and investigators who have worked on cases of actual innocence, as well as 4 men who spent a combined 89 years in Texas prisons, including death row, for crimes they did not commit. If you're unable to attend in person, the QR codes on the left will allow you to watch a stream of the events and ask questions of the presenters.

We still have spots open for what has to be the coolest class we offer! In Fall 24, we are again offering our Student Police Academy course in conjunction with the Argyle PD. The class is taught by the Chief and his leadership team. Activities include mock traffic stops, weapons simulations, and de-escalation techniques to name a few.
