North Texas Zeta Tau Alpha

North Texas Zeta Tau Alpha The Gamma Phi chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha at the University of North Texas. At the University of North Texas, ZTA's Gamma Phi Chapter was installed May 23, 1953.

It became the 95th chapter established by ZTA. Since it's founding, Zeta Tau Alpha has been chartered on more than 225 campuses internationally, and it continues to grow. The ladies of Gamma Phi continue to further the purpose of Zeta by living up to the high standards set forth by our founders more than 113 years ago. Notable Zetas:

-An alumna of the University of North Texa

Erin Andrews
-An alumna of Gamma Iota Chapter, University of Florida, 2000
-Co-host of ESPN's College GameDay
-Sideline reporter for ESPN on Major League Baseball, NCAA football, basketball and baseball

Susan Ford Bales
-Daughter of former President Gerald R. Ford
-Special Initiate of Alpha Upsilon Chapter, Oklahoma State University, 1993

Betty Nguyen
-An alumna of Kappa Chapter, The University of Texas at Austin
-Broadcast Journalist for CNN, 2004-2010
-Current anchor for "CBS Morning News" and contributor for "The Early Show"

Lynda Johnson Robb
-An alumna of Kappa Chapter, The University of Texas at Austin
-Daughter of former President Lyndon B. Johnson

WHY ZETA WEDNESDAY W/ abbyyrodriguezz

Abby is a part of spring MC'26, and this is what's he has to say! 🎀

I was first drawn to Zeta because I wanted to find a community of like-minded women who would encourage me to grow academically while also making the most of my college experience. I knew I wanted to work hard toward my degree, but I also wanted to build meaningful friendships and have a support system along the way. From the moment I met the girls in Zeta, I felt immediately at home. Everyone was so genuine and welcoming, and I could tell there was something special about the connections they shared. I knew these were my forever friends when I had my birthday party and so many of them drove an hour to Allen just to celebrate with me. That moment meant so much to me and showed me that I had found the kind of friendships I had been hoping for. I’m especially grateful that Zeta brought me my big sister, Jaycee. She’s not only my big sister but now my roommate and someone I know I can always count on. Our friendship is unlike anything I’ve ever had before, and I’m so thankful that Zeta brought us together. Zeta has also taught me so much about myself and the woman I want to become. It has pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone, become more confident in myself, and surround myself with women who inspire me to be better. I’ve grown so much since joining Zeta, and I’m so excited to continue growing alongside the women who have made this chapter of my life so special. I’m so grateful that I chose Zeta, but even more grateful that Zeta chose me. 🩵

Natalie is our VP of Facility Operations, and this is what she has to say!✨

ZTA has helped me grow tremendously throughout my executive journey by teaching me the importance of leadership, responsibility, and creating a space where everyone feels at home. As VP of Facility Operations, I’ve learned how much work goes on behind the scenes to keep our chapter running smoothly, and this position has strengthened my organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. Being on exec has also given me the opportunity to work alongside some amazing women and learn from their leadership. One thing I love most about being on exec is knowing that the work we do, even when it goes unnoticed, helps make our chapter a better place for every member.💗
