The Pioneer Music Educators Association (PMEA) is an organization for those interested in Music Education either as a profession or as an advocate. PMEA has plenty of volunteer opportunities to give an experience as a music performer, educator, or advocator for music education. PMEA is also a great place to reach out to fellow students in similar education classes and have intellectual conversatio

TWU Pioneer All-State Choir Camp 2026! 🎶

Our second session welcomed students and directors from 5A-6A high schools. We loved seeing the teamwork and enthusiasm our campers demonstrated throughout the three days of rehearsals. Once again, this camp would not have been possible without our wonderful faculty, section leaders, accompanists, and PMEA volunteers.

Campers and directors, thank you for embarking on this adventure with us! We wish you all the best in the All-State process and beyond. We hope to see you again!

TWU Pioneer All-State Choir Camp 2026! 🎶

This past week, we had the privilege of hosting students and directors from 1A-4A high schools to help them prepare for their upcoming TMEA All-State Choir auditions. We are so proud of the dedication, enthusiasm, and musical growth we witnessed in our campers throughout the three days of rehearsals. What a joy it is to make a choir out of people from so many different walks of life and accomplish challenging repertoire together! We are incredibly grateful to our outstanding faculty, section leaders, accompanists, and PMEA volunteers who made this camp possible.

Campers and directors, thank you for spending part of your summer with us! We wish you a wonderful school year filled with music and adventure. We can’t wait to see you again!

PIONEER ALL-STATE CHOIR CAMPS: TWU Pioneer All-State Choir Camp is open to singers entering grades 9-12. We will focus on the Texas All-State Choir music in group rehearsals, sectionals, individual coaching sessions, and more. Join us for a fun week of music, learning, and connection! Friends and family are invited to attend free end-of-camp concerts on July 22nd and July 25th. We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful campus!

Happy 125th anniversary to Texas Woman’s University!! ❤️🦉

We’re proud to be part of such a historically significant institution. TWU is the largest women-focused university in the nation. As a music student organization, we’re especially honored that TWU was the first college in Texas to establish a music program and later among the first in the U.S. to offer music therapy degrees.

Here’s to many more years of blazing trails with our current students, faculty, and alumni!
