You choose to study the world around you for a reason. What is it?

The #1 question scholars should ask before bringing their research, expertise, and big ideas to the world is...
what impact do you want to have in the world? ๐ŸŒŽ
What do you want to HAPPEN because of your work?

This might be anything! You might want to support communities you care about, affect cultural change, or translate important knowledge and tools for folks that could most benefit from them. Or perhaps you'd like to build trust with people that you'd like to work with or showcase what you can do in your field!

The sky is the limit... so what will be your impact? ๐Ÿ‘€

While we're celebrating this year's Elevator Pitch competition winners... we also wanted to shout out our honorable mentions!

Our selection was difficult this year. Let's hear it for the grad students that stood out amongst the rest!

๐Ÿš‘ Sydney Smith, DPT student in Physical Therapy, impressed the judges in the Support This! category with her pitch to support her Health 101 business.

๐Ÿ’ช Sarah Russ, MBA student in Business Entrepreneurship & Women in Leadership, made waves in the Support This! category with her pitch for a Resilience Training Lunch n' Learn series!

๐Ÿ’ธ Alitha D. Jones, MBA/MHA student in Business, gave judges in the Use This! category some big ideas with her pitch to engage in residential assisted living investment strategies.

๐Ÿฉฐ Hayden Creech, MA student in Dance Education, encouraged judges in the Use This! category to try out experiential learning techniques in the Dance classroom.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿซ Ashley Guillory, PhD student in Sociology, convinced judges in the Pick Me! category that she would be an amazing fit for a Learning Development Professional role.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€โš•๏ธ Emha Mariana Hinojosa, MHA student in Business Analytics, made a strong case for judges in the Pick Me! category to hire her for a fellowship or internship position in Healthcare Leadership.

This year's honorable mentions are being offered special one-on-one public speaking support for future opportunities. We can't wait to see what they'll do next!
