When you give the University of North Texas, you help us shape the future. UNT's breadth and depth of academic programs makes it a top choice of 37,000 students who are preparing to meet the challenges of our changing world. UNT is place where talent, intellect, ambition and creativity are fostered and leaders emerge. When you support UNT, you provide unparalleled opportunities for our students, our faculty and our potential.

❇️ Driven by a commitment to student success, Ernest Martinez ('11) and fellow founding members of the UNT Latinx Alumni Network made it their mission to fully endow the Dr. Victor Rodriguez Endowed Scholarship. Thanks to their leadership and the generosity of fellow alumni and donors, that mission is now accomplished, creating new opportunities for first-generation students from underserved communities. ✨

✨ Impact Spotlight ✨

➡️ This week, we’re spotlighting Brooklyn Granis, a junior studying physics, mathematics and audiology and speech language pathology. This year, she was selected to be a UNT Kuehne Speaker Series Scholar, receiving one of UNT’s most significant scholarships and allowing her to focus on the experiences that will prepare her for what comes next.

“This scholarship is life changing. To be supported by people who want to see successful students, that want to support student leaders and build bright futures for us, I’m just so grateful.”

🟢 Why I Give 🟢

➡️ This week, we're featuring Larry Klein, a donor whose passion for supporting the UNT College of Music isn’t rooted in having a connection to music or the university at all. He and his wife, Mary Ann, moved to Denton 16 years ago and shortly after attended a salon concert hosted by the College of Music, and he was so struck by the harp players that the Kleins have now endowed two scholarships and included UNT in their estate plans.

✨ “My hope is that the benefactors of the gifts I have made, and the gifts that are yet to come, is that those musicians will recognize that it was a gift that allowed them to pursue their dream of making music, and that they will continue in their life to share their gift with others.”
