"Being an online student at CU Denver allows me to live and work elsewhere. I live in Nashville, TN and work at Vanderbilt University in athletics," says Brand Ambassador, Laura.

She works with Vanderbilt's varsity teams, liaising between the coaching staff and admissions office to ensure student-athletes are admitted to the university and are able to transition seamlessly.

"I love my job because I can combine my passion for education with my love of sports! Earning my degree through CU Online provides the flexibility to work around our athletic events, which makes balancing the two very manageable!" - Laura M.

"I love setting up an organized and calm study space. Sometimes I’ll put a candle on the candle warmer and listen to music to help me switch gears from the rest of my day and get my mind in the right headspace," says Mallory.

"I use my iPad to take notes and always have my planner and a fun drink or small snack close by. Lately I’ve been loving sparkling water and chocolate covered almonds!"

We love to see our students living their best lives in and outside of the classroom! 🤩

Last month, Brand Ambassador Raiza was able to continue her education virtually while traveling to Budapest to participate in a planning conference for NATO's largest military exercise, Vigorous Warrior 2024.

"I had a fabulous time meeting healthcare professionals from militaries all over the world and sightseeing with my new friends - It was an unforgettable experience," says Raiza.

"My study space is built for function. As a student in a doctorate program, I do a lot of researching and writing. It is super helpful to have dual monitors and a whiteboard to help with the brainstorming and outlining of my projects. I also stay stocked with various color post-its and pens for quick note taking." - Laura M.

"I am not sure where I will end up after graduation, but I know that I want my role to be supporting families in some capacity. Raising a child with a disability is beautiful and sometimes difficult, and I feel strongly about making sure parents know they are not doing it alone." - Mallory J.

"During my free time I love to explore the outdoors, check out new restaurants, workout (specifically at Orangetheory Fitness), and spend time with my partner, Chris, and my dog, Grey. "I chose CU Online because it was affordable, flexible, and fit my values. I’m a mom of two young so my days are full of activities and appointments. It was important to get a high-quality education without sacrificing time with the people who mean the most to me," says Mallory.

"As an educator, I really value collaborating with families and communities and think that it is crucial. Not all programs spend time discussing the importance of this family-school partnership, and so I am proud to be part of a program that does—even devoting an entire course to it!"
