Who's in the spotlight this week? Jay Strongosky, recently promoted to Senior Director of Sales & Marketing, International Intermodal at CSX.

Jay leads CSX’s international intermodal sales and marketing efforts, working with global shipping companies, marine terminals and other global stakeholders, rail connecting international shipping lanes to north American population centers. He has been with CSX since 1996, building his career across both commercial and operating roles.

Prior to his current position, Jay served as Director of Intermodal Pricing, where he led a team responsible for managing pricing across CSX’s intermodal business unit.

In addition to serving on TSCI's Board, Jay is a member of the Institute’s Cohort 6. With a deep devotion to our four-legged friends, he also serves on the Jacksonville Humane Society’s Board.

Another time-honored tradition: the last dinner for the senior cohort. This year, we’re celebrating the completion of the program for Cohort 24 at the historically significant former headquarters of the Holland America Line, the Hotel New York in Rotterdam, once the gateway office for transatlantic voyages and a pivotal departure point for generations of travelers.

Graduation is right around the corner for Cohort 24, but this week-long trip comes before the cap and gown. The cohort's international residency includes a series of logistics-focused field trips in Rotterdam, the largest seaport in Europe and the Netherlands’ principal maritime gateway.

All Executive Masters students at the Transportation & Supply Chain Institute complete the program with international experience under their belt. Applications are now open for Cohort 26, with classes beginning this fall.

Who’s keeping things moving in this week’s spotlight? Jenny Johnson-Weeks, President and majority owner of Intermodal Support Services, Inc.

Under Jenny’s leadership, ISS’s 100-plus employees operate across the United States and Mexico, providing critical services to the intermodal industry, including equipment inspections, gate operations, and administrative support.

Though she began her transportation career at Norfolk Southern, Jenny also brings tech-sector experience to the table, having managed a technical support team for an internet-based banking software provider.

In addition to serving on our Board of Directors, Jenny is a proud Cohort 4 graduate and President of the Institute’s Alumni Association.

At bat this week? Dean Wise, Founder and Principal of Dean Wise, LLC. As a strategic advisor to transportation, logistics, and infrastructure organizations, this TSCI Board member lives up to the Wise name in every sense of the word.

Previously, Dean served as Vice President of Network Strategy at BNSF Railway, where he led initiatives including network development, public-private partnerships, non-rail asset utilization, innovation, and shortline/regional relationships.

Dean’s experience includes President/Managing Partner at Norbridge, Inc. and a vice presidency at Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman). He's also held positions at Temple, Barker & Sloane, Conrail, and Southern Pacific Transportation Company.

In the spotlight this week: Kevin Price, President of Gateway Terminals LLC. Kevin recently made industry news with the announcement that he's the next President of the Georgia Ports Authority, effective July 1, with plans to step into the CEO role by mid-2027.

Before joining Gateway in 2022, Kevin was Chief Operations Officer at Virginia International Terminals. In addition to serving on TSCI's Board of Directors, he's a member of Cohort 17.
