[Rush Beta] Why rush Beta? Here’s what our president, Luke Srsen, has to say:
I joined Beta and ran for President because of the people, but for different reasons. First, the brothers that I met through the recruitment process showed me a home on DU’s campus. We have brothers in this chapter that are motivated, fun loving, and involved in almost every aspect of our campus. No matter what I was always able to find someone with a shared interest.
I ran for President because of the potential that I saw in this group of men. I see passion. I see a group of men that can literally do anything that they set their minds to. You can’t find that anywhere else on campus, and that is truly special. That’s why we are what we are. I wanted to be the person to ensure that Beta stays on track. I wanted to be the person to push us to that next level.
When I look back to when I was in your shoes coming out to rush events and just meeting the brothers of Beta Theta Pi, I never thought I would be the President sharing my experience with you. I attribute my success on the University of Denver’s campus solely to Beta. My academics, my friends, and my achievements. But above all, I am thankful for the brotherhood that radiates through our fraternity. In conclusion, rush week is really about finding your people amongst the many students here at the University of Denver. We are not just a house, but rather a home for you as you go through your college life. As you make your decision whether or not to rush, know that I speak on behalf of all the brothers here when I say that I cannot wait to see your potential development along side the brothers here at Beta.
