🐄 We are so grateful to Christensen Ranch for welcoming our Veterinary Technology students and providing such a valuable hands-on learning experience!

Opportunities like this allow our students to take what they’ve learned in the classroom and apply it to real-world large animal care. A huge thank you to the Christensen Ranch team for sharing your time, animals, and expertise with our students! 🐾🐮 We love our community partners! ❤️ Community College of Denver

Earlier this month, Vet Tech students from the Community College of Denver made their way out to our neck of the woods to complete their lab on cattle. We had a great morning sharing our knowledge with this group of kids and were happy to see many of them show an interest in the large animal side of the veterinary industry!

Even though they spend quite a bit of time learning and talking about how to do these tasks, it is always fun to see them be able to get hands on experience. These kids were able to practice running the chute, giving an IV, administering a subcutaneous shot, using a balling gun, etc.

🐄 Time to get moooving! Spring 2027 is right around the corner!

CCD Veterinary Technology is currently accepting students for two Spring 2027 options:

🎓 3-Year (Part-Time) Veterinary Technology AAS Degree.
Want to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)? Our part-time Vet Tech pathway begins in January and allows students to complete the AAS degree at a more flexible pace.

➡️ Application required. Students must complete the Vet Tech prerequisites and submit a separate Veterinary Technology program application.

🐾 Veterinary Assistant Certificate
Looking for a faster way to get started in veterinary medicine? Our 16-credit Veterinary Assistant Certificate can be completed in as little as one semester and provides foundational animal care and clinical skills.

➡️ No separate program application or prerequisites required. Apply to CCD, then register for the Spring Veterinary Assistant courses.

🐄 Cattle Lab Day! 🐄

Our senior Veterinary Technology students had their cattle lab yesterday! Hands-on experiences like this give our students the opportunity to build their large animal skills, confidence, and knowledge outside of the classroom.

Great job, future RVTs! 🐮💙
