🦴🔬 It was a BIG week for Anthropology at CU Denver!

🎓 Grad students connected with future Lynxes at the Graduate Program Fair

🧑‍🏫 73 fifth graders from Graland Country Day School explored our Archaeology, Biological Anthropology, and Zooarchaeology labs

🏔️ Faculty, students, and alumni represented CU Denver at the Rocky Mountain Biological Anthropology Meetings in Colorado Springs — including a keynote from Dr. Caley Orr on his recent Nature paper, a Best Poster win for grad student Sloan Fridrich, and new field research updates from Dr. Jamie Hodgkins, including a brand-new field school launching Summer 2027!

When Aman Tewolde took a student IT job at University of Colorado Denver, he figured he'd be doing basic tech support. Instead he found the thing he actually wanted to do with his life.

He earned three IT certifications in about nine months while finishing his degree, worked on real projects for the college (not busy work), and today he's CLAS's IT Operations Manager.

"Now I'm excited to do this. Now I have a pathway to actually work towards."

The CLAS Dean’s Office is decked out in black and gold for Homecoming Week! 🖤💛 Our student assistants had a great time bringing their creativity and CU Denver spirit to this year’s Homecoming Decorating Competition.

📹 Telemundo Denver visited campus to talk Colorado history with CU Denver's Steve DelCastillo, discussing Casimiro Barela, the Trinidad senator and businessman who championed a Colorado Constitution written in Spanish, English, and German.

As Colorado celebrates 150 years of statehood, it's a great reminder of how central Hispanic leaders were to shaping the state from the very beginning.
