Our next program spotlight is the University of Denver! Their Counseling program has a specialized practice area in School Counseling. University of Denver has a fully online asynchronous program delivery. Their curriculum is built around social justice and student advocacy in P-12 schools and is designed to help students address and meet the unique needs of their community. The blend of asynchronous flexible learning with dynamic interaction of live sessions allows students to apply insights from the virtual classroom directly into real-world contexts. Michael’s inspiring journey—from DPS student and custodian to principal and now Director of Black Student Success—embodies perseverance, purpose, and equity in action. His leadership within Denver Public Schools is centered on removing barriers, uplifting Black students, and guiding educators in building more inclusive learning environments.

A proud graduate of Morgridge College of Education, Dr. Morgan currently serves as the Vice President of Inclusive Excellence and Belonging at the University of Hartford. A nationally recognized equity leader, Fulbright Global Scholar, and MLK Beloved Community Faculty Award recipient, she has spent over 20 years transforming education through strategic leadership, inclusive pedagogy, and global engagement.

Her commitment to uplifting historically marginalized voices and reshaping institutional culture continues to inspire us all.
