Join us on September 23rd at 4pm in the Chapel for a heartwarming tradition as we celebrate the healing compassion of our profession.
🍽️ LHSON 75th Anniversary Dinner:
Immediately following the Blessing of the Hands ceremony, join us for a wonderful dinner on the Quad (Boettcher Commons) in celebration of 75 remarkable years of LHSON's legacy. This isn't just any dinner; it's a testament to LHSON’s enduring impact on the community, Regis and healthcare. Register Here
Students, Staff and Faculty: Free
Guests: $50 (Proceeds benefit the LHSON Scholarship awarded to nursing students who demonstrate a commitment to community service and volunteer work in the area of healthcare for the common good)
About the Blessing of the Hands Ceremony:
Open to: LHSON Students, Faculty, Staff, Nurses, Alumni, and family and friends from all faith backgrounds.
• Participants' hands will be anointed with soothing lavender oil, symbolizing their commitment to compassionate and healing touch.
• Attendees will receive Gold Foundation pins, signifying “Keeping Healthcare Human”.
• This ceremony is celebrated nationwide in hospitals and as part of Gold-AACN’s “White Coat” ceremony initiative. It's a tribute to the deep compassion and care nurses bring to their patients.
• Our ceremony, grounded in Regis University’s rich Jesuit tradition and values, reminds us of the connection between skilled healthcare and profound human compassion central to nursing.
