Some journeys come full circle.
For Sarah Shoulak '13, that journey led her back to CU Denver as a keynote speaker for The Phoenix Center at Auraria this past spring.
Sarah is an author, speaker, artist, nonprofit co-founder, and advocate whose memoir, "Dead Serious: How Death Made Me Laugh at Life," explores resilience, healing, and the unexpected ways life's challenges can shape us.
Her connection to CU Denver extends beyond the classroom. As a student, Sarah participated in a study abroad program in Beijing that helped launch a career spanning technology, marketing, coaching, and public speaking. Years later, after publishing her memoir, she returned to campus to share her story with the next generation of students.
"What a full-circle moment. This is what I wanted to do with my voice. Now I get to go back to my alma mater as a keynote speaker."
CU Denver alumni can mention this post to receive one free private coaching session or $100 off a speech or workshop facilitation.
