As National Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to highlight the mental health resources available through Regis and the ways the University continues to support the well-being of both students and the broader community.

Did you know? The Center for Counseling, Family and Play Therapy at Regis provides high-quality mental health services to the local community, offering both in-person and online appointments. These professional services are available to everyone on a sliding fee scale, and you do not need to be a student at Regis to access low-cost or free care.

Mental health matters every month of the year, and we are proud to support accessible care and compassionate resources for our community. 💙

From Boise, Idaho, to Aurora, Colorado, and soon Washington, D.C., Regis University students are making their mark in the scientific research community. 🧠🔬

This spring, a mix of undergraduate students in Regis' neuroscience and psychology departments represented the University at two conferences: The Rocky Mountain Psychological Association conference in Boise, Idaho, and the Women in STEM conference at the University of Colorado Anschutz in Aurora, Colorado.

Through hands-on research, conference presentations and collaborative lab work, students are gaining real-world experience while building confidence, professional networks and a sense of belonging within the scientific community.

This fall, nine Regis undergraduate students will take their work to the Society for Neuroscience’s annual Neuroscience 2026 conference, the world’s largest neuroscience conference — an exciting and unprecedented opportunity for the university.

These experiences reflect the power of undergraduate research at Regis, where students are supported not only as scholars, but as emerging professionals and future leaders in science.

What started in the halls of Regis University more than 40 years ago turned into a lifetime of adventure, service and giving back. 💙

Steve and Maureen Wincor met as students at Regis, where Maureen played volleyball and both discovered the lasting impact of a Jesuit education. Since then, they’ve built meaningful careers, traveled to more than 70 countries, raised a family and stayed deeply connected to the values they found at Regis.

Today, the couple is giving back through an endowed scholarship supporting Regis student-athletes, helping future Rangers access the same opportunities that shaped their own lives. Their story is a beautiful reminder that the Regis community extends far beyond graduation and continues to create lifelong connections and impact.

Food has a unique way of bringing people together, and this spring, students at Regis used that idea to explore the many communities that make up our campus and beyond. 💙

In Professor Julie Sriken’s Community Psychology course, students combined qualitative research with personal storytelling by interviewing members of different communities and collecting recipes that reflected their lived experiences and cultural identities. From international students and women of color in higher education to local nonprofits and community leaders, each story offered a deeper look into the diverse experiences that shape the Regis community.

The recipes and narratives will be compiled into a cookbook this fall, with proceeds supporting Regis’ Community for Belonging (CoBe) and first-generation student programs.

This project highlights the power of listening, storytelling and community-centered learning — showing how academics can create meaningful impact far beyond the classroom.

Thank you to 9NEWS (KUSA) for covering the conversation around proposed reductions to state financial aid and what they could mean for students across Colorado. For many students, this support plays a critical role in making higher education possible. Regis University will continue working alongside students, families and community partners to advocate for educational access, affordability and the freedom for students to pursue the college experience that fits them best.

Under the amendment, thousands of students could lose access to state grants and work-study funding just months before the upcoming school year.

Only one month until Dr. Shawna Cooper Whitehead officially begins her role as the 29th President of Regis University! 💙💛

Beginning June 15, Dr. Cooper Whitehead will make history as the first woman to lead in the University’s nearly 150-year history. Bringing years of experience in Jesuit and Catholic higher education, she is passionate about helping students thrive academically, personally and socially while building a strong sense of community both on campus and throughout Denver.

As Regis prepares for this exciting new chapter, we are proud to welcome a leader deeply committed to service, accompaniment and the Jesuit mission. Join us in counting down the days and welcoming Dr. Cooper Whitehead to the Ranger family!
