Image 📣 LAST CHANCE — proposal deadline extended!
We heard you. Life is busy. So we’re giving you a few more days. 🌱
Our Call for Proposals for the 2026 Social Change & Policy Conference on Environmental Justice is now open through Sunday, August 30 at 11:59 PM MT and we want to hear from YOU.
A few things worth knowing:
🌍 This is a hybrid conference. If you’re based outside of Colorado, you can still present virtually. Distance is not a barrier.
🔬 This is interdisciplinary. You don’t need to be a social worker to present. We want organizers, researchers, healers, artists, legal advocates, water scientists, climate policy experts, community members — anyone doing work that matters.
🎤 Our keynote is Beatriz Soto, Senior Director of Community Engagement at Conservation Colorado, a Latina environmental justice leader who has spent her career elevating Latino-led solutions to protect Colorado’s land, water, and air, and whose own immigrant story is woven into every part of her advocacy.
🌿 And we’re closing the day with Harmony Cummings of The Green House Connection Center — the Denver-based activist and community organizer who has been leading the fight against AI data center expansion in one of the most overburdened ZIP codes in the country. You may have seen her this summer standing alongside Jane Fonda in Elyria Swansea. She’ll close our conference by bringing it all home: here’s what’s happening in our city, and here’s how you can show up for it.
