You may have seen Laura running around campus, but do you know everything they do? 👀
Laura (they/them) brings more than a decade of experience in social work, higher education, events and marketing, with a focus on outreach, DEIJ work and prevention education.
So, what does Laura do? “It depends!” 😂
From planning conferences, speaker series, Fall Assembly and graduation celebrations to connecting with community partners, designing marketing materials and swag, and helping students bring their own event ideas to life, Laura wears a lot of hats around the department.
💡 Their advice for social work students?
“Don’t be afraid to explore! This is such an open field. See what speaks to you, see what doesn’t drain you but instead fills you up. You can bop around in many different areas—and that is okay!”
